Entertainment
In Kauai you can really choose from a great selection of luaus, concerts, nightclubs, theatres, music, hotel showrooms and lounges, and other entertainment venues. There are many entertaining activities in the evening on this beautiful island. With spectacular tropical sunset and ocean views surrounding the whole island, there is always a place for everyone to enjoy the nightlife, including sunset cruises, Luau and Polynesian Revues, or bars and clubs, etc. Kauai Island area has plenty of unforgettable entertainments and places where you might listen to music or dance and take your pleasure.
Shows. Kauai Island is host to many annually recurring events, including such interesting shows, as Manoa Orchid Society Show in May, Garden Island Orchid Show in August, among others.
Clubs/Nightlife. Nightlife in Kauai Island area is not so vibrant as in Oahu and Maui, but surely, there are bars for drinks and clubs for dancing (as Sushi & Blues, Hanalei Bay Resort, Sheraton Kauai Resort, Keoki's Paradise, Lizard Lounge and Deli The, etc.), and of course you can just relax with an after-hours cocktail or two… Major hotels provide dinner and cocktail shows at night. And you will not be disappointed!
Attractions & Sports. There are lots of different outdoor adventure activities in Kauai Island for the young at heart, from exciting water and surf activities, to hiking a steep mountain trail or camping in a remote valley… Hiking, biking, boating, golf, tennis, horseback riding, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving, parasailing, bodysurfing & bodyboarding, surfing and windsurfing, fishing, camping, sightseeing or just relaxing — all this is far from the full list of sporting, sanative and recreational facilities of Kauai Island area.

Some of renowned parks in Kauai Island area are Allerton Garden of the National Tropical Botanical Garden, Prince Kuhio Park, Russian Fort Elizabeth State Historical Park, Limahuli Garden of the National Tropical Botanical Garden and others.
Sightseeing. Kauai charm and magnificent lush green scenery is a constant backdrop to many moviemakers. The island is characterized by its deep and spectacular canyons. It is the only island in Hawaii with navigable rivers. No surprise, then, that Steven Speilberg selected it as a location for filming Jurassic Park, or that dozens of other film makers before and after him have also selected it for location shooting. While exploring this travel guide you can find information about a great deal of sightseeing tours and beauty spots around Kauai Island area. Waimea Canyon, Fern Grotto, Spouting Horn, Kiki a Ola (Menehune Ditch), Ka Ulu O Laka Heiau, etc. Read about all the latest sightseeing news and much more.
Music. Before the arrival of missionaries, who taught Hawaiians the diatonic musical scale, Kauai folks knew little about melody. Their powerful mele were repetitive chants where historical accuracy was more important than "making music". Strangely, the Hawaiians did not sing. But with the introduction of the new musical scale and church hymns, the Hawaiians finally found their voice and singing became an intrinsic part of the culture. Today, Hawaiian music is energized by influences from all over the world but is always deeply rooted in its diverse past. There're several wonderful musical venues in Kauai Island area — Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center, Kauai Concert Association, Lihue Public Library — each of them is a must for music lovers. You'll be ravished by sweet music!
